Deferred from gt

Hi, I’m an asian female from in-state in a very competitive high school. I applied for georgia tech early action to the college of sciences for psychology. I got deferred and am being considered for regular decision. What r my chances of being accepted?
-4.366/5 GPA weighted
-midyear report raised my GPA to 4.445
-3.75/4 unweighted
-SAT: 740 math and 740 reading/writing; 6/6/7 on essay
-750 on math 2 SAT Subject Test
-ranking in school is around 70? Within lower end of 10%
-have taken about 11 AP classes and many honors classes and have gotten 4 or 5 on all AP exams
-clubs include: latin club, community outreach, honors society for math, beta club
-summer activities: Duke young writers, bio@tech, part time job

Please tell me if you need to know anything else! If it helps, I live in a single parent household as my dad passed away suddenly in the middle of my junior year.

I’m not sure what to write for my deferred supplemental form so any advice on that is appreciated.

Georgia Tech really focuses in on rigor of your courses & class rank/GPA.

It is difficult to suggest what you should write on your deferred supplement because we do not know enough about you & the contents of your application. But, if true, restating that Georgia Tech is your first choice school & why might be a good starting point.

I’m on the same boat. I would definitely emphasize how hard you’ve worked the past semester and like the form says, mention any updates like achievements, new interests, etc. I’m also considering pulling the “minority card” as a Hispanic student at some point. Assuming Tech is your #1 choice, definitely do what Publisher said. Considering the limit is 150 words, I think the admissions office is aware that it’s unlikely that much as changed since submitting the application, but they are probably looking more for details rather than a giant list of updates. I can’t give any experience-based advice, but I had all of this in my mind while completing the form. Hope this helps somehow.
