Deferred from UGA, Distraught ; ; Need Help

So Basically I got deferred from UGA. I just couldn't believe what happened. I don't know what I should do anymore. On one hand, I'm thinking that if UGA didnt want me they would have already rejected me. But then again, 80% get in EA making up 66% of the freshman class, so now im competing with way more people with a much lower acceptance rate. Any ideas? I seriously wake up in the middle of the night and think about this.

call admissions to let them know of your interest. Youll get in on reg. furthermore if you dont,m go to one of your schools and transfer after a year. It could be worse. You will get a degree from georgia

when should I call? and what exactly do I say?

Wow are stats are almost the same. Except mine are a little bit lower than your stats. But I wish you luck and maybe well see each other at UGA.

(Also if for any case you do get deferred you can write an appeal expressing how much you really want to attend the school.)

i would call several times, bout once every two weeks and just say that your interested. Maybe send some awards if you get them mid year to show your interested. Maybe visit and ask to meet with an adcom. If they offer interviews def do that. YOU HAVE TO SHOW YOU WANT TO GO THERE. they might think its a saftey. Dont kno.

Woops its suppose to say rejected. "If you get rejected you can write an appeal."

Check out the thread under University of Georgia. Most of the people who got in from GA and out of state has SAT's well over 2000. The admissions office didn't look at EC's for the EA apps.
Lots of us got deferred and will eventually-like you- get in RD after completing part II of the app. Why? Because some of the super applicants who got in EA were using UGA as a safety school.
I'm going to start my essays for part II after Christmas. Join me.
