I never answered the "favorite things" essay, so I figure doing so now would be a good way of updating my app without inundating the adcoms with material. But where do I actually send it in? It's too long to fit in the "Update my Application" space.

Email it to your regional rep. That’s what I did.

Motion, you still want to go? I thought you were fed up with those SAT-score-hounders at Chicago. jk ;)

I updated my app through my regional rep as well- word of advice- she’ll print out the whole email for your file, so if you include a couple updates in your opening paragraph, you’ll get those in your file in addition to your essay. GL!

OK then. Should I include grades in the e-mail or is the transcript alone enough? [I remember Harvard had me do both, for whatever reason.]

Thanks for the help!

Oh, and I don’t think Chicago’s gone SAT score-crazy. If they had, I might have gotten in :)

Keep your grades in your midyear report- we can’t consider grades that aren’t officially submitted from a school as a portion of the Midyear Report.

Considering the fact that the SAT score ranges of UChicago increased substantially, I would not say that my SAT comment on decision day was completely unfounded. And, I don’t know if UChicago is my first choice any longer, considering it’s most likely not even going to be an option anymore because I’m going to get rejected in the RD round. Congrats on getting in, anyways.
