Deferred, kinda scared haha

<p>So my counselor told me that I would 'definitely' get into U of I, and I planned accordingly. Fordham is my safety/match school, but I was totally expecting to get into U of I. I got deferred, :( </p>

<p>I applied as a business major, but I'd have no qualms about going to DGS; a lot of my other applications are crapshoots, as I thought I'd go to U of I in the case that they didn't go through. I just want to go to college, haha.</p>

<p>I think I already have a chance thread in the U of I forum, but here's another one! :P</p>

<p>GPA: 4.1 Weighted, 3.53 Unweighted
ACT: 33 (35E, 31S, 32 M, 33R 10Essay)
Extracurriculars: A lot. Most notable would be debate - captain with awards at conference and state level
Essays: They're nothing special, but I thought they were pretty good.
Course Rigor: 10 AP classes, rest are honors (except gym of course) </p>

<p>So what do you guys think? Time for me to panic and apply to Loyola/DePaul, or just weather the storm?</p>

<p>id be super surprised if you didnt get in…no such thing as a “sure” thing…but youre solid</p>

<p>Business likes to look at the whole number of applicants, so they defer a lot. I wouldn’t worry about it.</p>

<p>business is very popular and they defer a lot of kids. the only thing prolly holding u back is ur GPA just cause business is hard to get into.
normally it’s very good GPA but business is very competitive. but I’d think u get in but u never know</p>

<p>That is weird i am suprised that you didnt get accepted ea since i know many people oos with lower stats that were accepted into the engineering school which is more difficult.</p>
