Deferred Notre Dame Chance

Hello! I was deferred REA from Notre Dame; it is my first choice and i definitely made that clear afterwards to my counselor, but i am pretty nervous so i was hoping if someone could tell me their thoughts!
I applied as a Great Books major, and have a 34 ACT, 3.74 UW/4.27 W GPA. Most of the grades pulling down my GPA were honors and AP math classes, but maybe it won’t affect me as much since i applied for an English-heavy major. That’s really what i’m nervous about but we will see!
I can tell you my ECs if y’all would like! I guess I’m mostly asking how hard it is for deferred students to be accepted.
Thanks!

Sorry to say this isn’t enough information to give you a reliable answer. I wish you luck though.

^agree. ECs and essays are what differentiate top applicants at schools like Notre Dame.

Best of luck!

REA defered students have an advantage in rd.

I got deferred too and I think essay and EC does factor in.

My ACT is below average, but my STEM numbers were average which is my major. My EC is probably average or above. I think the part that kept me in was Essays. I not only did the “take a risk” essay, but took a risk on every essay. I double down on my follow up essay after being deferred. If accepted I will credit my essays and if not it could be because of them too.
