Hey Guys,
Unfortunately, i was deferred to regular decision at Dartmouth College, and i am now trying to think about what i am going to do next. If anyone could provide any information and or answers to my questions it would be greatly appreciated.

should i stay on?

should i contact the admissions people asking what i can do to improve etc?

Thanks,
Carson

p.s. Great job everybody that got into Dartmouth!! I envy you immensely. To those that also were deferred, i hope everything works out for us!
to those that were denied, i am sorry, and i feel your pain...This is definitely a test of character so don't give up and throw your middle finger up to anyone that tells you to give up.

If Dartmouth is still your number one choice, then yes, stay on the list.

Don’t contact admissions asking why you were deferred or what you need to do for them to accept you. Instead, I would recommend preparing some additional materials to send them–another recommendation that shows you in a different light, an update on your accomplishments since you were deferred, etc. Not pages and pages of material, but just some things to add to their picture of you as an applicant.

And work on additional applications. I know it can be hard to think about right after getting deferred, but its important to have options come April.
