Deferred. Now what?

So from now until the RD deadline, is there anything that deferred SCEA people should do? Yale said to send any new information in, but can I send in "old" information that I failed to include on the app I sent in? (Like an award/honor I didn't list.)
And how would we get information across to them? since I'm pretty sure calling them wouldn't be the best idea :/

thanks!

Snail mail them a note. But honestly, some small award isn’t worth mentioning.

I was curious as well…
If you do end up sending some sort of note, what are you allowed to say? I think I heard something once, on CC, about a letter of commitment or something, but I could very well be wrong. I just want to do as much as possible while I’m deferred, which is a bit of a paradox considering we really can’t do much.

Are we allowed to change anything in the original application at all? Like the essays for example?

My idea of the whole subject is this. I am not an expert, but here it goes:

Allowed:
Letters of recommendation (supplemental)
Midyear report grades (automatic)
Significant awards (or developments in a EC, like a leadership position or advancement in a competition)
Significant new ECs (such as new job, working with Principal on grading policy, or more volunteerism)
Awarded scholarships
Basically, an updated resume

Don’t Send:
Minor awards
Another/replacement essay. There is a reason they only ask for two.
More than 1 supplementary rec
new answers to short answer questions or “Why Yale” question

Be careful:
Supplemental material (research project, art portfolio, etc.)

^Very nice post wrightm. And I completely agree with the list.
