Hey guys. If you have been deferred from Princeton ED, let's share our thoughts about it and also shows your plan for other universities.

For me, I'm going to apply Cornell, Stanford, Carnegie Mellon and Northwestern. I already applied the safeties (UWash, UIUC) as well as Rice University. I'm planning to study computer engineerg (yeah!).

I'm not really disappointed, because I think just getting into one of colleges above would be make me fortunate. I'm just so excited to study in any of top 50 American universities. :)

My head was all wrapped up in P-ton. Seeing this makes me wanna redraw my app from the RD pool just because if they don't want me at first glance, I would not want them later on.

Hey, deferrals! Count me in. I'm suprised I wasn't rejected, but I'm not sure this is much better... I might as well just keep the app. in for RD, because I've already paid all the fees and crap.

Hey, do you think it would be worthwhile to write a letter expressing interest in Pton still and get some teachers to write on your behalf? Or would they get ****ed?

anyone know the percentage of deferries that get in on regular decision. Probably pretty bad. If they don't want you in the fall, why would they want you in the spring. Oh well, hope springs eternal

But had you received a rejection, you would be wishing for a deferrel right now.

Is it my imagination or were all the admitted applicants middle to upper income? I don't think I saw one admitted applicant that was low income and/or used a fee waiver. Maybe I missed something.

After I got deferred... the first thing I wondered was:

"Who the #$^@ do they take if not me?!" <----Obvious frustration right there

--sigh-- o well, I guess I'll just send updates in mid-january and hope for the best while applying to other schools as well.

...Maybe I can con Princeton into accepting me... If harvard accepts me, and pton doesn't, I'll fax them the acceptance letter and appeal the decision, although I'm 100% sure that they will stick with their original rejection :p

No I'm definitely not rich. Princeton will have to offer me almost a full ride for me to go but they still accepted me...

I know you guys are not quite happy with the outcome and I do hope all of you get admitted in RD, but maybe you can a be little less critical of a school that you loved until they deferred you.

Anyway I was going to ask if CC members ever got together to help deferred applicants by writing to Princeton or something. Annandale loves Princeton so much and I would really like to see him accepted in RD... Do you think mass emailing helps?
