Deferred when do they hear RD?

My child was deferred EA. Although the school says they will hear by APRIL. does anyone know when people have heard in the past.

Same question^^^ And I am guessing if deferred and ultimately accepted that means all possible scholarships (i.e. Classic) are now off the table?!? Can anyone confirm or deny?

Bumping this thread…has anyone who was deferred EA heard back yet? If you didn’t take additional tests did you only send mid year grades?

Does anyone know the estimated percent of deferred EA applicants who receive offers of admission? If you do get in after deferral are there any decent dorms left?

Very frustrating. My son was also deferred. Our county only ended first semester this past Thursday. When I contacted the admissions office about how he can send Mid-year grades, they said that the time has passed to do that. He is currently in the holistic process of consideration. How on earth can they make a decision without seeing first semester grades? And now they won’t look at them? I don’t get it.

@Anxiousmom12 my son manually entered his grades and then the HS counselor sent official grades 10 days ago, likely late. HS counselor called UGA and they know which schools don’t have first semester grades until after the deadline. I’m not sure if UGA takes that into confidetation as they do holistic reviews or not…I’m working on blind faith at this point!!

@Meant2B was doing some searching and just saw that another round of decisions should be made 2/16 (2/17 last year). These are the first round of RD and some deferred EA. Fingers crossed we hear then and not mid-March.

I was accepted last year…

There is a wave of acceptance halfway through the semester, then there is final wave of acceptance in March. Last year the final acceptance was March 17. But alternatively you can just check the admissions twitter feed for admissions updates. It seems this years will be on Friday March 16.
