DEFERREDDDDDDDDDdd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

<p>LOL I didn't think that...I read somewhere that they feel worse rejecting you when they have an actual face in front of them...what if I send a pic of me crying??</p>

<p>No seriously is the pic thing a bad idea??</p>

<p>actually i think that sending a picture of yourself may help you!
not because of how you look, but it becomes harder to decline...
your smiling face may make the process more human....if
that makes any sense at all</p>

<p>i don't know, for me, if I got a picture of someone i deferred
it would be different from just getting a letter</p>

<p>I wouldn't say a bad idea, but it's not a good idea either. And pity never works on the adcoms (can we say essays on divorce???) so a pic of you crying =bad.</p>

<p>A PICTURE OF YOU WITH A BIG SMILE IS BETTER :D
it'd be awesome if you were a cornell sweatshirt haha
or something red</p>

<p>I think the adcoms are used to seeing faces, I doubt it would tug at their heart, you aren't the only one who'll be trying like crazy to get the adcoms attention, and I can bet you won't be the only one sending in a picture. And I doubt all those who send in pics are accepted</p>

<p>no the profs are people too
they have hearts ♡</p>

<p>OK so to recap:</p>

<p>Teacher Rec: Bad Idea
Senator Rec: Good Idea
Interview: Good Idea
Picture: Good Idea
Essay: ???????????????????
Letter: Good Idea
Stalking: Bad Idea</p>

<p>WHAT ELSE GUYS </p>

<p>ALSO THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP SO FAR :)</p>

<p>senator rec: ask your parents on what they think about this.
i think its an iffy</p>

<p>if you already had an interview, doing it twice will not help</p>

<p>you could sue cornell for not admitting you on the grounds you're a better canidate than those admitted, or something else crazy, and that they must admit you</p>

<p>well my rents already think that the senator rec is a good idea, seeing as its their friend...i just dont wanna offend the cornell peeps</p>

<p>also, i didnt have a real interview, only with an alum..?</p>

<p>&i dont wanna sue cornell...maybe i should try using the money as a donation?????????</p>

<p>HELLO PEEPS, I STILL NEED HELP!!</p>

<p>please HELP me</p>

<p>look Nicky...getting into a college after u got deferred without simply relying on more numbers requires much initiative and dedication on ur part...now theres been a lot of ppl here including myself who have given u a lot of good ideas...now its up to u to figure out which approach suits yoru style and go for it...we cant hold ur hand through this...u gotta step up and feel proud...r u convinced that u deserve cornell? R u really THAT good? then do somethin...</p>

<p>Hey Nicky: If you really want to come to cornell:
1. Don't send anymore recommendation. The adcom have heard enough about how great you are from your previous recommendations. If there is a senator who really knows you then make him write a recommendation otherwise don't send anything.
2. Writing an essay is a bad idea since the adcom have to read so many of them.
3. The best thing you can do right now is: write a really emotional letter. In the letter do not directly ask them to admit you. If you have a best friend in cornell, make him/her write a letter to adcom on your behalf as well.<br>
4. Try to get really high grades this semester.
5. Finally, interviews are not generally granted to students. So when you come to cornell probably in begining march, try to make an appointment with the adcom.</p>

<p>Thanks for the advice!! :)</p>

<p>i've accepted, also. actually, i did not send only what they requested.
I sent two research papers (30pages, 50pages each) in the field of math and computer science each(my prospective major is math). and i also got recommendation from another math professor.
therefore, if you did not send things like that, send them now.
if things like that does not exist, make them!!
You can send anything shows that you are much more interested in Cornell than others. :)
nobody knows additional materials will help you to be accepted or not;however, that they will never hurt your status also is definitely true.
So, who knows? Just do everything you can do;)</p>

<p>THANK YOU FOR THE ADVICE.
I have ONE MORE question...do you think it would be beneficial to retake my SATs because I just found out I can get extended time so I think I could do a lot better on them...or do you think it wouldn't make much difference???
THANKS FOR THE HELP GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!</p>

<p>COME ON guyyyyyyyyyyyyssssss I need HELP! :(</p>
