Deffered to BU? Who else got deffered?

I also thought you were only allowed to apply to one school ED even if you wouldn’t be able to afford it. I don’t know if I fully believe that colleges are need blind sometimes because they would rather take a well to do student who can pay rather than a low income student who will need money. I think in theory they might like to be but in practice it might not turn out that way. I am not saying that they deny you ED because of your low income but they might take a peek at it if maybe you are on the fence for them. I was talking to someone who used to be the Harvard interview admissions person and he said the three things that will get you into college are money, legacy, and good grades.

Looking at leahhhgreyyy’s posting history, I believe the reason for her deferral was the 1750 SAT and 3.38 weighted GPA, not her income status. Also, her posts indicate remediation is needed for grammar and spelling.

I find a full ride at Hopkins difficult to believe with those stats.

i’m also wondering how she got into johns hopkins…

My guess is a ■■■■■.

Um, Yes my grammar is not perfect… And I am way sure that my personal statement is way better than yours. And I went to summer program at Hopkins yes, you only may apply for one ed but I made another account… They See your application that you are requesting for fin. aids… And I told you again… I said most… I got full ride because I have five sisters and all of them are in college. Johns Hopkins could realise that I need money I guess. But I am not sure if its Johns Hopkins money or its from foundation. In my letter, it said that you got full scholarship at jhu. So I am assuming that it is from Hopkins. My personal statement is basically about I was unable to speak English since I was 5 bc my parents and teachers didn’t know I was deaf. Then my parents couldn’t afford speech therapy sessions. I train myself and I spend my time to train my speech so I could talk with people. Also, I kept fighting because people look down on me due to my disability and speech. Also, I wrote about cochlear implants, and the doctor from Johns Hopkins is only able to do it due to my cochlear. It is not normal as other deaf children. My parents couldn’t speak English at all. I never talk to them. I meant it… And I learned how to be independent. That’s what Hopkins wants. I even talked to dean of admission. And my dad’s friend who works at ucla, and he fixed my personal statement. Please colleges wants the better story than perfect grammar… And They have like 30% of Asians so that why it is not competitive As other races like white. And I am a legacy because my sister goes to Johns Hopkins as a senior… You don’t even know me.

And I go to south high I got permitted to go there. So my rank is considered good. Even though your rank is way higher than mine.

@hopefulbustudent, well they rather to pick rich people because bu would not lose alot money? Well idk. It is same thing as public system

So you admit to violating the rules.

I still say ■■■■■.

“you only may apply for one ed but I made another account”

^ you do realize that you might have made another commonapp version, but you’re still the same person in both versions/accounts, right?

so if, and when, johns hopkins finds out that you broke the BINDING early decision contract, they will most likely rescind/revoke their acceptance to you…

I called Johns Hopkins and it is fine because I didn’t get in Boston university…I don’t think that I would get in hopkins
