So Wellesley College seems to have a great deal of fascinating degree requirements (which is obviously one of the perks of a LAC). However, as a student who plans to follow the pre-med track in college, I'm a little concerned that all the requirements could possibly delay taking all the recommended pre-med classes and thus preparing for the MCAT (or force me to take an extra year to get my degree).

I do know that the rate of acceptances to med school is very high for Wellesley, so obviously many people have managed it. So I'm hoping that some of you with personal experience or information from a child's experience as a pre-med at Wellesley could chime in with examples of how your experience was regarding balancing degree requirements and pre-med courses as well as how you planned your courses around taking the MCAT.

A few additional questions:
1) Did you find it challenging to fit the degree requirements, major requirements, and recommended pre-med courses into your 4 year college schedule?
2) Despite the fact that Wellesley sends a paper explaining its grade deflation policy in student's medical school applications, do you believe that the grade deflation policy makes it difficult to have a competitive GPA compared to other undergraduate schools of the same standing with respect to medical school admission?
3) Do you feel that Wellesley's courses provided sufficient preparation for the MCATs as well as medical school applications and admissions?
3) If you were to repeat your undergraduate experience, would you still choose Wellesley to pursue your academic goals and plan of attending medical school?

Thanks! :)
