Delivering Mail to Bing

<p>Hey, I was wondering how to deliver packages to my Bing campus address. What is the format of the address and what numbers do I fill out. For example, a normal address would be:</p>

<p>Name
Street Address
City, State Zip Code</p>

<p>How would mail being delivered to Bing be addressed?</p>

<p>What if the packages(such as textbooks) are too big to fit in the PObox?
Will the school’s post office hold on to it?
And I heard we share PO boxes. I’m a little nervous on that.</p>

<p>If it’s too large to fit in the mailbox, they will hold on to it. The website unfortunately doesn’t clarify as to how long they will hold on to it, or if there are any limits.</p>

<p>You can go during the Post Office Hours which should be listed on the site given above by markopolo. As far as I know they hold on to it until you pick it up. <p>I also wouldn’t be nervous about sharing the BU Box number. Just respect the other person’s mail IF you wind up sharing one.</p>

<p>fyi – this is mentioned on the websites markopolo gave, but to make sure you realize this –</p>

<p>if you are giving the address to someone who will be using the USPS to send the package to you, you use the address with your BU Box and the PO Box that represents your residential community (they each have a different PO Box -see the web site markopolo gave). Don’t get confused as to which is your BU Box number versus the PO Box number – if you look at the referenced website I think it’s pretty clear which numbers represent the residential communities versus your personal BU Box number.</p>

<p>BUT if you are giving the address to someone who will be using another service (eg, UPS, FedEx, etc), substitute 440 Vestal Parkway East for the PO Box – ** you still list your BU Box number ** – but not the PO Box number that represents your residential community since those other delivery services don’t deliver to PO Boxes. If you aren’t sure what delivery service someone will use, give the 4400 Vestal Parkway East address. </p>

<p>also fyi – campus mail will email you when you have a package. just be sure to check the window hours to know when you can go to pick it up. (also listed on that same website referenced above)</p>

<p>They will keep any packages you receive for 2 weeks. The return date is included in the email they send you when a package is received. </p>

<p>Packages have to be picked up at the post office in the new union. Only small things like envelopes go to your box.</p>

for FedEx, DHL, UPS, etc. Which will usually be used for any large packages.</p>
