Delivery nightmare

I Expressed Mailed my application on Thursday, and they attempted delivery on Friday (twice). The office was closed (I even signed off on no signature required to avoid this), so it was not delivered. Now it is sitting in the post office in Claremont, and will supposedly be returned to me in 5 days! I emailed them in admissions, and they said as long as it arrives this week I will be okay, but it won't if it sits in the Claremont Post Office for 5 days! Help...what should I do?

Maybe you could get in touch with someone extra nice in the admissions office that could go pick it up at the post office?

I called the admissions office today, also very concerned about my supplements that I had mailed in. I was told not to fret, and that if something happened to my mail and they did not receive it, they would contact me so I could resend another copy.

this is just what one admissions officer told me...so maybe you might want to check again with another? i don't think they should hold it against you though, especially since it should have been delivered with your "no signature" request...it was totally out of your hands.

goodluck!

I spoke with admissions today also because my son's supplement was late in the mail. The person I spoke with made a distinction between just the supplement being late and the entire application. If I were you and I had a copy of the application I would express mail another copy. You are entirely not at fault and they'd probably make allowances as along as you have receipts, but I can't imagine worrying about it all week. Better to cover your bases.

My D's counselor hadn't signed off on one part of the school report, and the Admissions Office informed my D by e-mail. She spoke with the counselor, the counselor spoke with Pomona and faxed the information. This was about a week or so after the ED1 deadline--long story short, she did get accepted, so don't worry about late supplements counting against you.

What a relief....I got an email from the post office that it had been delivered yesterday, afterall! Whew!!
