It happened to me not too long ago. Anyone else on the same boat?

yep. denied by reach schools (brown, Columbia, tufts) and weight listed by my matches (UVA, BC). only got into UGA and GA tech

Rejected by MIT and waitlisted by Harvey Mudd, Rice, Cornell. Waiting on Stanford. ://// Got into UC Berkeley and Carnegie Mellon so am still really happy.

That’s why they’re called reaches.

^^^^^^^

You are SUPPOSED to get denied from your reaches.

Rejected from WUSTL, Pomona, Harvey Mudd, Cornell, Penn, and wait listed at Princeton and JHU. So much fun… waiting for three more. x/ I got into Barnard, UVA OOS, and Emory though.

I only applied to two reaches (and only four schools in total), but I was denied by both of them. I got into my one match and my one safety, so everything worked out as it should have.

I got accepted to one school I considered a reach (Michigan), but I was rejected from the one really elite school I applied to (Chicago).

Only applied to one reach (Harvard) and got rejected - I knew I wouldn’t be able to stomach multiple rejections all at once.

I got rejected by the higher-tier UC schools (which I completely understand - my application was garbage lol)

Got into SLC though which was the only one I was actually considering going to (I’m an international student) so I’m happy.

I was accepted by my high match / low reach (Cal Poly) but without nearly enough aid so it was kind of like a rejection in a sense.

The least I can say is that I got in to Uconn. The school pride has been within me for a long time since my brother goes there.

Applied to like six or seven reaches and got rejected by all of them. Oh well, life goes on. You miss 100% of the shots you don’t make, so you might as well try.
