Anyone getting this news?

ohh how I wish it'd happen to me..... but NO
in my case, denied by my safeities, matches and of course reaches

omg **** really ? you didn't get accepted to any schools ?(i don't mean to rub it in or anything)

I got into Yale my super-reach school but waitlisted by almost every single school (Harvard, WashU, Duke, Dartmouth, etc.).

I was accepted by Dartmouth but rejected by the University of Chicago and waitlisted by Swarthmore and Williams.

Camelia, please tell me UChicago, Swarthmore,Williams were reaches though?

my friend got denied at uiuc (safety?), and accepted at UCSD (ultra-reach considering oos and not even had uc eligible gpa). ><

mememe245: Yes, but Dartmouth was an even higher reach, or so I thought. ;)

I thought WashU and JHU were my low reaches (possibly very very very high and difficult matches) and got waitlisted at both, but somehow wound my way into high-reaches Dartmouth and Penn

It was pretty awesome but I still wish I could have gotten into WashU :/ really wanted to go there

I feel the same way about being rejected by Chicago. I tried not to rank my schools after Princeton, but Chicago was pretty much my second choice.

hm... i guess i am not the only one who fell in love with more schools than his/her top pick eh.

Me! I got waitlisted at MINNESOTA! I got into NYU though, so they can shove it. I also got waitlisted at Knox, Grinnell, Bard, and rejected by Macalester and Dartmouth. I was expecting the rejections, but I thought I was surely in for Knox at least. I also got waitlisted then rejected by UW-Madison, which was surprising as I'm instate and qualified. I am SO happy NYU accepted me.

Accepted to:
U Mich College of Engineering
GA Tech
Penn State U.P. College of Engineering

Waitlisted to the Univeristy of Florida... which was a match leaning to safety by a decent margin.

In a way I'm glad they didn't accept me though. Since I was accepted to U Mich (my co-top choice) not too long before UF's decision, I would not have really considered UF. I didn't get around to writing them a letter letting them know this because I'm going to write one for all of my schools as soon as I hear back from my final one. I'm hoping someone else got the acceptance letter in my place and was as happy as I was when I got my U Mich acceptance! That would be ideal...

Ry

I don't understand this ->

Tufts - Accepted
Lehigh - Accepted

Bates - Waitlist
Trinity - Waitlist

Bard - Accepted
Hampshire - Waitlisted

Yah...don't get it.

I got accepted into Hopkins which was a target/reach for me.

Nah, I got into my matches as expected, denied by my reaches, and I got into all my safeties.

Except Cal Poly SLO. But I've given up on trying to understand it.

I honestly think it has something to do with the selectivity of the school... Every university I have heard from has said they have had a record number of applicants and that their acceptance rates have dropped...
I was accepted into USC and University of Michigan - Ann Arbor
But waitlisted for NYU...

I had considered Berkeley a match for myself

4.08 UC GPA
2210 SAt's

but blatantly denied from there and UCLA, so I was doubly shocked when I learned Friday that I had been accepted to Tufts

well i got a typical result. 50% at matches, 0% reaches, 100% safe.
