So, I was denied for the School of Nursing and they let me change what I wanted to major so I just put undecided at the division of undergraduate studies.
Then, I found out I was accepted to their school as an undecided student.
I know I still want to be a nursing major. Can I pursue this even if I got denied at their school of nursing?
How does the nursing major work with undergraduate studies?

Thank you in advance!

Hey! I was also denied, so I changed my major to undecided in the College of Health and Human Development. I’m not 100% positive that I want to be a nurse exactly, but I do know that I want to go into some sort of health profession so I figured it would be my next best option. I know that this college and the College of Nursing have a ‘special relationship’ as stated on the website so hopefully there is some way to pursue a nursing career should I decide that’s what I want to do.
I was also thinking that even if there wasn’t a way, I could earn some sort of health degree and go on to a direct entry BSN/MSN graduate program at a different school.
Hope this helped a little!

Ahh, that’s what I should have done. I picked DUS first and then Health and Human Development.
I mainly picked DUS first because it was easier to get in and I wasn’t sure how hard Health and Human Development would be to get in to. I was also unaware of its relationship with the School of Nursing.

I also started doubting Nursing, which is why I picked DUS. I’ve been fascinated with Communications recently, as well- but I really don’t know. DUS might be perfect for me.
Ahh, I really don’t know. All this time I thought I was interested in Nursing, but now it’s just kind of like, asdfghjkl I do like it, but do I want to major in it?

Haha, anyway, are you for sure going to Penn State? :)

That’s the same problem that I had! Like, actually working in hospitals all day, dealing with death daily, not getting appreciated enough by other staff members (as far as my mom tells me)…Hopefully everything works out for the both of us.
I’m still waiting on some other colleges before I make a decision, but Penn State was one of my top choices so it’s really likely that I’ll end up there. How about you?
