Denison Class of 2025 Regular Decision

There’s so much to say about this and it is time we rethink that system as consumers. :frowning: As someone in a mixed color family and who works on racial reconcilation in our community, and from a low income upbringing… and as a public school educator myself,

That’s not a good thing for most minorities.
Poor whites are falling FAR behind too.
We can’t make up for family and community choices at this level.
Top colleges struggle to keep kids who were not necessarily well prepared for their university.
We need to go back to being color blind in admissions.
I have a friend who did not get into a top ten National school becasue they let it slip they had “too many Indian” applicants…Asians are facing the same. It’s a mess. in this day and age with awareness, we need to go back to color blind admissions and let communities fight for more IF they do. This won’t fix the problems, but the grad rate and maturity of college students is bad as it is becasue too many are unprepared or immature.
We need the best to go through and let the best and brightest prevail, on a color blind basis. The 21st century IS prepare to make that change.

Just sayin’

good luck everyone!!

I got accepted in ed 2. Good luck guysss.

@skieurope

So far you’ve applied ED2 to U Miami and been accepted ED2 at Boston University and Denison, all in the last month…

if it is true that you have applied at multiple schools with ED (early decision) and each of these mandates that you do not do this unless you are absolutely certain, you have been very dishonest.
You do realize that your account and name can be determined and you CAN be dismiess from all three schools for integrity issues.

This liberal idea that objective Truth doesn’t matter is killing our Nation.

Those were just my friends messing around since they didn’t have an account

You are absolutely right, obviously didn’t apply to all 3 schools as an ed candidate, my friends were just using my account

Some decisions released early!!! I got in!!! Go check your portal!!

I also got a decision, check it, everyone!!! I got rejected tho haha

I got waitlisted. But I’m fine with it since I have other really good options. I call it a win since they were so selective this year.

D waitlisted but they say she’s a “top candidate” and will give her $20k merit per year if she takes the spot and gets accepted. This year is bizarre.

Did anyone else get the WL but here’s your merit offer?

What the actual ■■■■. I got in for the spring semester with $48K grant and also an option on the waitlist for fall!

Letss gooo!

P.S: This is my first acceptance to a competitive school that’s why I am so bumped rn. Otherwise, I got deferred from UMiami and rejected from FSU.

Do you guys want to make a sc group for the admitted students?

Yeah, man definitely. Or drop your insta ids below. Plus Sahil sounds like an Indian name, we should definitely connect.

Yes. My son did also. He was already admitted to his top choice with equivalent merit, so not sure the waitlist makes sense for him.

International Student from Colombia.
Got rejected :frowning:
Maybe my EFC was extremely low (4.000 USD/Year). I know that for internationals needing huge aid nowhere is a safety, but I’m a little surprised as I submitted a 1340 SAT and some very significant national awards.

I keep my head up for the next decisions!

S21 accepted. This was one of his two reaches, so the acceptance is exciting. Unfortunately, this one is the most expensive for us. ($20K merit plus a need grant still brings it in as more $$ than all his other choices, several of which he’s really happy with). If it were more affordable, we’d be giving it a lot of thought. At the price it is, I don’t know.
