thank you for the info. i also read this on the website but was wondering if Presidential might be a full ride. either way, Deans is a generous offer and I was not offered that at my time there… many many years ago… so its quite the accomplishment.

if anyone wants to know stats -
GPA - 3.75
RANK - 31/221
SAT - 1370
Legacy - Mom

also to the person who asked about need based aid, i was a low income student when i attended and i was not offered any scholarships. i did receive some grants, was offered work study and loans. that being said, there are a ton of scholarships on their website that can be earned by students although most are aimed towards local students, more specifically chicagoans.
hope this helps! good luck!

Is he interested in optometry or are they suggesting it for him? Does DePaul have a relationship with the Illinois College of Optometry?

Congrats to everyone!

D received Presidential scholarship which is $96k (24k per year). Driehaus College of Business, School of Hospitality Leadership. We are OOS, no hooks. 3.56 UW, 4.1 W.

Edited to Add:
Does anyone know the rankings for Drieshaus on either the US News or Poets & Quants list for undergrad business schools? Cannot seem to find this info. Thanks!

As of last year they weren’t in the rankings. That said, if your son loves it and it’s affordable go for it. It’s a good business school. It made S20’s short list but went to Georgia Tech.

he is not interested in optometry. although i think he selected premed as a major which is why they offered it to him.

Greetings! My son decide between two colleges for Computer Science. We are from Wisconsin and he has a 3.9 UW/4.5 Weighted with a 35 ACT/1,530 SAT and A National Merit Scholar Finalist. His top 2 colleges that he’s leaning towards is Loyola Chicago for Computer Science and Depaul for Computer Science. He hopes to be a game programmer and has completed some unity certifications along with gotten industry connections with large game studios through Linkedin who are thrilled to offer him interviews for internships in college no matter what school he attends, and is accepted to Depaul on the Game Systems CS Concentration. Please help! Thanks!
