DePaul for Film or Pratt?

My S was accepted to DePaul University and Pratt for film. DePaul’s film program is only about 10-12 years old. Does anyone know anything about it? DePaul has a connection with Cinespace ( some tv shows are filmed there such as Chicago Fire and Empire, etc). Their program looks great online and on paper, but I would love to hear from people that are connected to the program.

Also does anyone have any feedback about Pratt’s film program?

I heard that Pratt’s program is pretty small. Studios are brand new and look really cool. Do the film majors take the standard art/design foundation year? I’d look into that. Also, Pratt’s going to be an in-depth studio experience so that should be compared to DePaul’s program - is your son planning to do a BFA or a BA? The BFA is more intense.
