deposit fee waived how to confirm I accepted their offer of admission

Like I said^^ Should I call??

Hit the “accept” button and we’ll take care of the rest.

Did that a couple days ago. Just wondered if there should be some sort of confirmation - when you have to pay a deposit at least you have that receipt in hand - don’t get me wrong, I am thankful for the deposit waiver and generous aid from UVa - just don’t want to come this far and blow it!! And since I have your attention Dean J - thanks for all your posts, they helped me decide on UVa!

No receipt. You’ll look like any other matriculated student in the system.

Congratulations, goodschool. S went right up to the wire, too, doing the magic steps last night. I had the feeling with the deposit, “and so the money flow begins”, one not-so-small drip of many to follow.

I agree that Dean J is a fine presence on this board, with many informative posts.

As long as your SFS section is clear, you’re just fine. We handle the waivers behind the scenes. In fact, only admission and SFS (Student Financial Services) can see that your deposit was waived. To the rest of the University staffers using the system, those with waivers look just like everyone else.

At least you didn’t have to write two checks and send him to the mailbox to do that dance. We used to hear about that. :)

Thanks - I now can get around SIS more though there is nothing to see and the accept/decline spot has vanished so I will chill and assume all is good.
