Deposits Are Sent Off.. Who Paid the Most Deposit $$

I’ll start it off.

GU’s Deposit Fee was $900 (3% of tuition. Talk about ouch.)

Anyone else?

Ouch indeed!

I'll bet I paid the least (when I did it last year, anyway): nothing @ UCSC.

:D

... It was 'deferred,' and then paid by financial aid. There's one benefit of being poor. ;p

mine's 300 not too bad, nothing compared to what is to come....

$0 - MIT doesn't require a deposit, just a reply card =)

yay, mit only 0$,thank god I didnt have to pay deposit

Rice - $150 - more then reasonable.

University of Miami
Enrollment 300
Housing 250

Lawrence--$200

berkeley deposit $100, housing $20. :D

is it true that harvard, like mit has no deposit?

gw is $800 high deposit for high tuition

William and Mary $350.00

My mom got choked up when she was writing the check. Not because of the amount of money, but because I got in and it was my first choice!

The DC schools so far have the largest deposits. GWU at a staggering 850 and GU at a seizure-inducing 900. Anyone else? :P

i think Columbia's is 600... =/

Purdue is $10,000 for internationals

$900. That's INSANE. And I was complaining about the $160 that I had to shell out. God, I'm so cheap.

I can't believe that the DEPOSIT for Purdue is $10,000. Are you sure you're not referring to the tuition?

Now, $900 is just mad for a deposit. Absolutely mad. Well, for the state of GW's dorms, I'm not too surprised. I read that they even have maid service...

Princeton= $0...and thanks to FA it is free free free :)...well almost :D

I'm not kidding. They need a full semster of tuition as deposite, before I can get I-20 and stuff.

Please tell me it is refundable. What if the student fails to obtain the I-20? Would he or she get his/her money back?

Duke was $200--told s that it was exciting to be writing the first (and maybe the smallest) of the many checks that we will have to send over the next 4 years! All the other check writing will not be so exciting!

CMU is $500 - but what's the big deal - isn't everyone's first semester tuition bill reduced by the deposit amount, so you will pay that much less in July/August?
