Desktop & Laptop

Is taking both, a little too much?

I'm more comfortable (i.e. majority of my music/videos/pictures are on it) on my desktop, but I bought a laptop for purposes of being able to take it out of my dorm, etc. I guess one laptop is sufficient for study-uses

Is anyone else taking a desktop and laptop? Or do all students take ONLY their laptop with them?

Pssh, ALL students only taking a laptop? What do you think we are, conformists? :P

Most students have a laptop. Quite a few also have a PC. But a lot of that depends on the type of laptop. If it’s a desktop replacement 17-inch monster, usually not. If it’s a wimpy but portable machine, usually yes. Personally I’m a fan of the PC + netbook combo. It’s not too much at all, both of them get plenty of use.

Hehe sorry XD

My laptop (HP Pavilion dv6) is 15" long? It’s pretty big, definitely larger than a net-book

It has pretty nice specs. Unless you’re a gamer or a CS major you probably have no real need of a PC. They’re not very fun to lug to and from school anyhow.

Heck yeah, bringin desktop so I can play me some video games.
