Ok I have a weird situation i recently moved so i dont have state residency in any state as of now so i really need safeties. I would prefer schools in the midwest but open to all schools except the ones in Iowa, Arkansas, TN, Utah, Montana and Wyoming... i hate those places.

Heres the stats:

ACT:28 Eng 27 math 30 reading 33 science 30 comp

2 time regional finalist in track
DECA state finalist (E-commerce)
only taken 1 AP so far but taking AP Calc and AP Bio in my senior year as well as honors eng.

Let's see. A 1340,30,URM, regional finalist in track. Where do you want to go and what will you do when you get there? Are you looking for a financial safety or admissions safety or both? College or university? Public or private? D1 or D3? Give us some more data. You will be competitive academically at all but a few colleges, and maybe even at those schools if your times are good enough. I can rattle off 50 solid schools. Need to narrow it down a bit.

well im looking for both admission and financial safeties. I plan on either doing some kind of biological science (biochem, microbio, cell and mollecular) or engineering (chemical, biochemical or biological). I prefer schools between 5 and 20 thousand students. It doesnt matter if its private or public but i would prefer schools that give good financial aid. I have the times to run varsity at most D-III, D-II, and a lot of the less athletic D-1 schools but i really dont plan on running in college.

um lemme try and see if i have any suggestions....im looking in my fiske guide right now, some private schools good in engineering are boston u, northeastern, drexel, villanova and tulane. some good public schools are u of arizona, purdue, michigan state, u of kansas. im not sure which ones would be good as a safety. drexel, purdue and northeasten all accept more than 50% though...

drexel, purdue, and northeastern should all be safeties IMO, but the locations aren't all what you listed as ideal (Boston not=midwest). also look at rutgers as a possiblity.

thanks for all the suggestions... but i definitely cant get into rice.... you can keep adding more schools if you want right now i only have 3 schools that im applying to
