My son has decided to attend SMU and he received an invitation to a reception at Lyle Engineering for early admitted students which is the end of this month. He decided he doesn’t need to attend because he has already made up his mind that he will be attending to SMU. Also, they require you to attend SMU for two days this summer for registration so we will just go then. Also, there is a Mustang outing that will occur right before classes begin.

If you are undecided about a school, I’ve heard it helps to attend these receptions or destinations you mentioned above. We’ve been told that once you attend these, you will be able to decide on the school you want to attend.

I’m pretty sure I"m going to SMU and I’m going to go to the March 3-4 one!

Thats the one I was thinking about, but my school only allows two college visit days so I’m waiting to make sure that I want to use them there. I have my fingers crossed to get an interview for Hunts and I have no idea if those are on weekends or not. If it is, then it won’t matter and I’ll be there!

I’m going March 3-4 as well.

my school gives us 3 college visit days- but you can always pretend you’re sick? :)

Those absences count toward exam exemption privelages!! Lol. But I probably will!
