Destination tulane

Is anyone going to Destination Tulane anytime this month? My S is going to the session on April 14.

I’m going on the 23rd. Was at an event for admitted students last week and came away very impressed.

That’s good to hear, c3606 . Has anyone been to a Destination Tulane session yet? Do a lot of prospective students participate?

i went to the one this past saturday and it was really helpful! it was my first time visiting the school and i absolutely fell in love. it was very informative; the school’s president spoke, we took campus tours, ate in the dining commons, asked questions to a student panel, and toured a dorm room. i thought the program was super helpful and it pretty much secured my decision!

I’m going on the 14th! My prospective roommate went last week and had nothing but good things to say about it.

I went on March 30. It was definitely very informational, and it made me really like the school.

S went 4 years ago–he had not visited the campus prior to being accepted. And frankly, applied because I suggested it and it was a free application.

It was the last of the 6 acceptance-schools he visited and going in, was least inclined to attend. The visit totally changed his mind and it ended up vying with his #1 choice.

After weeks of thinking it over, he picked Tulane. That Destination Tulane weekend was a turning point for him, to be sure. We were really impressed with how it was run.
But most importantly, the “light” went on for him and he felt connected to it in ways that hadn’t happened on his other visits.

It’s an important event to attend if you’re sitting on the fence.
