<p>I had one detention freshman year for a stupid policy of my school's that wasn't explained to anyone. Then I had two unexcused absences junior yea. Will this affect my chances of getting into college? I have a pretty decent GPA weighted at about 4.1 (unweighted at 3.9) and I do have some ECs and awards.</p>
<p>But the detention and absences worry me a bit, especially since I'm aiming for schools like UVA and William and Mary.</p>
