Which one is better...and why? I know DVC sends more students to Cal, but overall, which school would you recommend? What are the pro's and con's for each college?

I know nothing about DVC...but someone is seeking advice on where to go, because he wants a "better" (as opposed to "sure," since there is no such thing) bet. He's forgoing an opportunity to go straight into a 4-year to transfer into Cal, and I want to provide as much information as I can.

Thanks in advance for all of your help.

PS: Does anyone have the URL for the site where it tells you how many students are sent to various CSU's and UC's per CCC?

You'll have a tough time finding one of those statistic sites for UCB.

My 2 cents is to use assist.org and find out which CCC has the most transferable courses for his major. It may be that both of these CCC have the same transferable courses, in which case, I've nothing else to offer, lol. I go to De Anza and Foothill College and most of my campus friends are going to UCB.

ok, we've been through this. tell this guy, the cc doesn't matter, unless you care about social environment. the major difference between CCs is course selection and variety of choices. thats mainly it.

seriously, you're asking us to pick between two well known and 'respected' CCs. go to the one thats most convenient to you! thats what i'd tell this mislead fellow.

Thanks for the replies, all.
Oh, and Citan - I'd choose Yale over Harvard or Princeton any day...but the ultimate dream school would be Oxford :P Its prestige is matched by no other.
