Diagnostic sonography

Hi, I'm going into my 3rd year of college very confused on what I should be majoring in. I started off as a business major but I personally do not like it. I was hoping someone could tell me about Diagnostic Sonography. I've been reading a lot about it and I like the whole idea. But I'm stuck because I haven't taken science classes only business. But before I plan on going further with this, does anyone know what classes I need to take? How long it will take? Is it worth it? If their is anything else people would think would be a good suggestion, please tell me. I only ask because I feel alone, my parents aren't any help nor are my counselors. So it's pretty much just me. Can anyone help me? It would mean so much, honestly. Please and thank you!

What state are you located in? There might be different requirements. However, where I am, diagnostic sonography, like nuclear medicine and radiation therapy and things in that realm are generally certificates. You either get a bachelors first, then try to get the certificate, or after completing a certain amount of course work, you’re eligible to apply for the certificate program. It just depends on where you are. Check with your school or on your schools website. You might have to major in something like bio or health science or something because the career path isn’t a “major”.
