<p>How is computer science at Amherst?</p>
<p>^Its actually pretty decent, from what I’ve heard. The number of people who take it as a major are not large, but the program is good.</p>
<p>Honestly, if you just wanna do CS engineering, DON’T go to Amherst.</p>

<p>It has a very good comp science ranking on USNews… 20!</p>

<p>and aniruddh if you’re going to a liberal arts college just because some ranking showed that it has a good computer engineering program you will be very very disappointed. If you’re interested in computer engineering go to an engineering school not an LAC. I you’re interested in an all round education with an outstanding academic experience and are willing to give up on the “prestige factor” then LACs are brilliant. But from your posts i don’t think you’re that guy. most Indians aren’t.</p>
