Did any of you get a 10 or above on your essay for the Oct Test?

Could I please see your essay, or can you state what examples you used?

Thanks.

i cant have u see my essay lol i dont have it with me
but
i got a 12

i got an 11....terrible essay

my biggest trick is to bold the "big-sounding" words in my paragraph...

what topic did you have an what examples did you use? you can log on to collegeboard.com and download your essay

i got a 10 on my essay.....my examples were the missouri compromise and the 3/5 compromise and how they were bad and led to the civil war....the trick is to fill up both pages completely....every single line

we can't get our essays until nov 1

I got a 12 on my essay twice....I can probably send it to you/post it when the insight thing comes out Nov 1...

For examples I used rev war + into the wild

I got a 10. i really stretched my examples to where i wanted them to be... black boy, heart of darkness, then i wrote a mini-paragraph about my life.

did you all have the topic and a group acting without aleader

I got a 10 on my essay and I thought it was horrible after I wrote it during the test because I ran out of time.

I only had two examples...and I only wrote a page and a half.

My first example was really good because we just learned about it in history class so I was fresh on it. I wrote about the Cuban Missile Crisis. and then i could not think of a second example so i just did a personal experience about compromising to split a cookie with my sibling when i was younger and how we were both satisfied. haha

i must have had generous graders that day.

I got a 10. I used American Revolution and Jane Eyre.

i got a 10 and I'm happy.
My two examples include a personal experience (though i made up a book so i'd have a literary instead of personal example) and my second was about gas prices (this example wasn't as strong as the first one)

what topic!!!!!!!!!!

I'm in Canada, and I think the prompt I got was only for Canadian/international students. It was basically something like "Do people's actions reveal their true intentions and attitudes more than their words do?" Did anyone in the States get this prompt?

Mytopic was about compromises and I got a 9. Wasnt too happy. I would like to see what people wrote and how they wrote to get 10+

I'm really starting to believe that if you casually throw in big words and manage to fill up all of the space, you'll get a 10+. I have a good vocabulary and I rarely make spelling/grammar mistakes, but my essay was seriously the worst thing I've ever written. I managed to fill up all of the space, though, and I got an 11.

^ This is true...that's what I did for my essay also.

I got an 11 for the choices/decision essay.
My 2 examples were Grapes of Wrath and George Washington during the American Revolution. I felt like I was bsing half the time, but apparently collegeboard thought it was decent. :)

I got a 12 on my essay. I will post it as soon as they come out.

12

William Penn/Sam Adams.

I don't think that helps anyone though (:
