For Those Who get >10 essays

Ok, sorry I made a new thread, but for everyone that is at around 9-10 essay scores, this can be a thread where we can try to boost our essays to 10s or higher.

So, for those of you who score >10 on the essay component, what can we May SAT writers do to get to over 10? What are suggestions, ideas, or things that graders are looking for to get to >10?

search up “how to get a 12 in 25 days” on this website. i think thats what it is called…well it worked for me. OH! and make sure ur very different. EX. Use movies like “UP” or something as your example.

Use strong examples to support your essay. The most recommended types of examples are literature, history, and current events.

is a 6 paragraph essay fine? i use 2 examples…2 paragraphs for each example.

is there anything that you guys do to get >10? anything special or anything that works for you?

i noticed that when i use book examples i get 10s probably because the reader can tell that it is a core example and not an average history one or a made up story

All I did was use a single example and got an 11.

Intro: Strong thesis at the beginning, mention example at the end
Body Paragraph I: Background information about your example
Body Paragraph II: Describe how your example relates to the prompt
Conclusion: Sum everything up and re-state your thesis.

Make sure to fill up every line.

I used a single example for the May 2010 test, and got the same grade and used the same system as Bassir. Here is what I did on the test

Intro: Strong these and briefly mention the atomic bomb
Body 1: Events and actions that led to the decision
Body 2: How it effected the war and the soldiers and citizens at the time
Body 3: How it effected school teaching and personal opinions
Conclusion: Incorporate your thesis and sum up what you just wrote in a persuasive way
