Did anybody else get this?

I received a letter from John T. Casteen, President of UVa. It looks pretty standard, but I'm wondering if anybody else got on and what it means.

It begins: "I write to congratulate you on your admission to the University of Virginia and to express a few thoughts about education here."

I got one. I guess it’s just a welcoming letter?

It means exactly what it says! Welcome to UVa!

I got one, since I accepted my admissions offer. Just a nice welcome letter as Dean J statted.

I got one too, judging by the date they must have been sent out after you accepted your admission online.

I don’t think that’s so… I accepted yesterday and, coincidentally, got that same letter yesterday as well.

Clearly, UVa has figured out teleportation.

It’s a letter that goes to all admitted students.

This is really normal. I remember getting a letter from the President of my Alma Mater after I was admitted as a senior in high school. This is a standard piece of communication, welcoming you to our community. :)

and I thought I was special :</p>

I thought your generation was the one where everyone got a trophy, so you’d know that everyone is special! ;)
