<p>I applied to Minnesota, got in about a month ago and was also directly admitted into my major. Tuition is fairly reasonable and it's Big Ten. Unless I get into Michigan or Florida (decision comes Tuesday for UF), I will be heading there. I would have applied to Indiana, but tuition was ridiculously high for OOS students and Minnesota is giving me a really good deal.</p>

yea that is a lot for public univ, but nothing compared to priv schools :]
priv schools around here in CA are 45k/yr and Indiana is much better than a lot of schools</p>

<p>Actually, tuition and fees at Indiana University at Bloomington for OOS are about $24,000 to $25,800 next year--but with room and board just add another $11,000 and then add $1,000 a year for travel. (My son is there and I'll be paying these costs next year).</p>

<p>Of course, you'll still have to pay room and board in California, too--unless you live within driving distance of your college choice</p>
