Did anyone get this?

Dear ***********:

We recently told you about our expanded Learning Communities initiative available only to applicants. Building off the success of University College, our original living/learning program, these new Learning Communities offer further academic choices, while maintaining the same small group feel that made University College so valuable to those who participated. These additional Learning Communities are an opportunity to work and, in some cases, live within a community of fellow scholars who share your interest and passion for a particular subject.

As someone who has demonstrated interest in American University, we wanted to give you the opportunity to tell us which communities you might be interested in. Your response in no way obligates you to participate. Visit the Learning Communities Project Website to find out more about this initiative and the options available.

Sincerely,

Acting Director of Admissions

P.S. Receipt of this message does not indicate successful admission to the university.=

Before the whole PS thing, I didn’t even assume that this meant anything. I just took at as another letter. But, the PS message made me think: Am I accepted?

Who else got this?

i got this too. I actually think its the second time I've gotten something similar. I don't think it has anything to do with indicating acceptance to be perfectly honest. It just sounds like another one of those form emails that gets sent out to everyone on the college's email list (or maybe even a list of all the people who applied). I didn't really think too much into it.

Of course it would be nice if I was wrong, and if it DID mean I was already accepted. :)

I did, but I don't think it has anything to do with admissions decisions.
