Did anyone received a course selecting book from WUSL? I am bored, just checking...

I received one about two weeks after I have submitted my app , did anyone got the same book? I don't think so it means anything, because my teacher recs were not even send out yet in these two weeks, besides they didn't even have time to review my app. But why they send this out? Isn't it wasting money?

Yeah i got one a long time ago too. Maybe they just have a big mailing budget.

just got mine too. Dont understand why they would waste the money to mail such a heavy book to me as I live abroad unless they want me... lol... so either its a good sign or as said above they have a lot of money and want to make sure they get a good yield by flooding applicant's mailboxes lol

yeah, got one too. i think they must pay some kind of monthly/annual mailing fee, so they can send as much as they want. so.. it's not really costing them any extra to send the course catalog.

chickenlegs:

I don't think that there is such an "unlimited" postage service.

Your $55 application fee pays for these materials. Guess why they want your Part 1 as soon as you even consider applying? Of course, it's to get your check and start sending you marketing materials.

I just got one today......that's odd, considering there rn't many days till decision comes out........altho I do live in Australia......

yeah, i got mine months ago....

interesting... its seems not everybody got one... hope thats a sign...

I was highly confused........there was no postage stamp on the envelope.....no date of when it was sent.......no letter accompanying it. Just a big fat book with "undergraduate programs" on it marked 2004 - 2006. R we all talking about the same situation here?

Mine was wierd, it didn't come in an envelope, and therefore was all damaged. What is the point in sending out that huge book if they hadn't made decisions yet?

bellicious88, thame thing here. I also got it no postage no letter, a bit damaged.. the reason for the postage is that when they send it abroad they dont mail it regular they get a special deal where more or less a bunch of the books are mailed out together to whatever country at reduced rate then sent out individually by other post offices. for example, i live in europe but my book was delivered by New Zealand Post cause they were cheapest for the university...
i really hope im right in assuming that they wouldnt waste the money to send such a heavy book especially abroad unless they was a good chance of acceptance... especially since they sent them late february early march when most decisions are already made.

so much for my theory, I was waitlisted...
