Did everyone here (prospective freshmen, namely) who submitted a FAFSA to USC receive an e-mail from them a month ago, asking you to send in your parent's tax forms/W-2 forms/schedules etc?

Yeah, I know the question's late...I just have an idea : )

Haha see the thing is…I’ve only received notices to turn in additional financial aid info/my FAFSA from colleges that were literally about to accept me/accepted me.

So I’m thinking…maybe this means USC is looking at us favorably :D

I dunno…I was just looking at some threads similar to mine, and those applicants who received an e-mail notice like we did got into their schools. I’m talking Duke and Princeton here, too

Don’t get your hopes up. I received it and have heard nothing regarding acceptance/rejection. But to put it in perspective, my brother got it also a few years back when he applied SCA, but he did not get accepted. I think they ask everyone for it or maybe it is related to parent income level? I believe it is completely separate from your acceptance. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Considering the fact that its a rather large school and they need to get financial aid letters out as soon as possible I think its safe to say that it has no bearing on whether or not you got in. I think they’re just being preemptive so they don’t get swamped after acceptance letters get out. Don’t mean to be a negative nancy hahaha. Btw, they asked me for a bunch of my financial stuffs a while back so I really just think they wanna get the process started.

hello21: My FAFSA and CSS/profile had been submitted a while ago…however I was never requested to send copies of W2’s and other tax documents. AND my status still says “Thank you for submitting your online application”.
I can’t wait for all of this nonsense to be over…I’m so tired of scrutinizing everything (which is my fault completely)!!
