Did I apply to too many schools?

I applied to 17

a CUNY school, a SUNY school–these were my safeties.

A school that kept bugging me about some personalized application with a waived application fee so I was like hey, why not?

One other Safety (UWisconsin)

the rest were all low-mid reaches because I felt that applying to a high volume of colleges gave my some statistical confidence to fall back on; the chances of me getting rejected by all 13 reaches are pretty slim.

Then again, they are independent events so basically, I have no clue about what I’m talking about.

I applied to 12, but my peer adviser when I had an overnight at Yale applied to 26, and is extremely happy where he is. It’s not a problem unless it took away from your individual applications, or if you couldn’t really afford it.
