<p>okay, so i added duke to my list very late in the game, after i found out about my early action results, so i didnt really research it. on my commonapp, i put for all schools that possible career is chemical engineer, and i might've written why engineering about chemical engineering (not sure, have to check on that) BUT i just found out that duke doesnt offer chemical engineering!</p>

<p>If it’s really obvious from your essays that you want to do chemical engineering then I’ll say that you’ve just drastically decreased your chances if not eliminate yourself from contention already. Not trying to be mean, but what’s the point of going to a school that doesn’t even offer the major that you want? That’s definitely something that’ll make the adcoms scratch their heads.</p>
