I just accepted Fordham over Brandeis. My reasoning was that it was in NYC and it was closer to my house. But I just learned that Fordham premed sucks...hard. I already paid the deposit and I think I should have went to Brandeis. Screw the 100 bucks, I dont need it returned. I just want to go to Brandeis. And I also learned that the Rose Hill Campus is in a ****ty area and I thought I could stay at the Lincoln Center campus, but nooooo, the science there sucks too much so they force students to take certain classes at Rose Hill. What do I do? Brandeis, TAKE ME BACK!!!

Only chemistry labs. Nothing to do with the LC program; the government does not take kindly to chemistry labs in Manhattan highrises.

If you seriously want to go there instead, they’ll probably let you.

Oh I thought I remembered my brother saying something about Fordham sucking at science or w/e. He goes there and he always makes fun of it.

Well if it makes you feel any better about fordham, I stayed overnight at brandeis a few weeks ago and absolutely hated it so much that I didn’t even stay for the orientation the next day. The “brandeis awkward” does indeed exist. On another note, my friend is going to fordham for premed this fall and she’s a pretty cool cat, so maybe you can be suffering cool cats together.

Where are you hearing that Fordham’s pre-med sucks?

Well fordham is ranked like 200 in biological sciences and brandeis is like 72.

For grad school or undergrad?

Send in your brandies deposit now! They will prob be fine with it

Make any decisions? A lot of people are going through “buyer’s remorse,” some permanent, many temporary.

I’ve actually done some research and made a common sense sort of decision. Brandeis would cost me 70k+ upon graduation. And since I intend to go to graduate school, Ill be running into hundreds of thousands of dollars more once Im a full fledged dentist. And I also read from several posts on this site that premed/dental students should try to save as much money as possible as an undergrad and focus on doing well on the MCAT/DAT and getting a high gpa

^that’s only for a tier 1 school. Fordham is mainly known for business. Even if you get a high GPA and a great MCAT score, it’ll be harder for you to get into a good medical school since you’re competing with so many well qualified applicants.

In the recognized “tier” system, Fordham is firmly in the first tier. No, that isn’t this website where people seem to think that “tier one” means 10 schools. So you need to be more specific, because with the way you said this, you are incorrect.
