I had the topic about impolite, as many others.. I was going to write about WW2(Hitler), sports(NBA), and The Great Gatsby... In that order.. Well I only had 2 minutes after finishing the NBA paragraph, so I quickly wrote my conclusion, until after my essay, I had completely forgotten to write about my Great Gatsby paragraph.. Did I make a mistake of writing about the NBA instead of Great Gatsby?

probably… great gatsby would’ve been a better choice… how much length did you fill up

I finished almost 3/4 of the 2nd page when the proctor called time.

I ended mine with a meshed together 4th body paragraph conclusion monstrosity. :(

Hmm…a lot of ppl seemed to use the Great Gatsby…
I did Thomas Hobbes Leviathan, George Orwell’s 1984, and Churchill and the whole Communism era thing

I did Antigone and also talked about the murder that happened last year in Winnipeg, Canada

That’s at least better compared to mine (same prompt)
I bare have the intro done and like half of the first body

So many people seem to have used sports and Great Gatsby for this promt.
anyone else use Teddy Roosevelt and/or the Grapes of Wrath?

am i the only one who used rosa parks on the essay?

Omg I feel so stupid! I got the one about “does being ethical bring success” or something like that, and I couldn’t think of any historical or literary examples so I made up a fake story about how my mom lied to my aunt saying that a dress was OK when it was in fact hideous… Then I put in a lot of stuff about how being ethical brings about a certain type of success - spiritual success - which many people regard even more highly than financial status, etc.

Then friends of mine that were in the same room told me that they wrote about J.P. Morgan and his business practices which would be sooo much better >_<… Did I screw it up? lol "/

haha u def to that example from the CB book. its the same exact example used in the essay that they give for a question in the explaining each section part of the book

haha yeah, it actually is… "/ i feel so unoriginal… but srsly the sample essay from the cb book was about deception and this one about honesty… "/

@ezaga

I didn’t specifically write about Rosa Parks, but I used the civil rights movement.
