I was accepted. Received my financial aid offer via portal, and received my acceptance letter in the mail. However, my acceptance letter did not contain any information about merit aid, nor the portal. So did I just not receive any? Should I call the school? I have strong grades & extracurriculars, so I would imagine I would receive some amount of aid.

The first thing i would do is go to the Net Price Calculator in their website. You can plug in your
unweighted GPA and SAT or ACT score and it will tell you if you can expect any merit aid. I do not
know if they have other merit aid besides these scholarships. This would be a good place to start before calling them.

I called them about merit aid because the net calculator had said I would receive $15k. Admissions said the calculator needs to be updated because this years stats were much higher and that was just an estimate for prior years. Ended up receiving no merit award

That’s horrible! I wonder if you can petition to get your application fee refunded! 15K to zero is ridiculous. That is definitely ‘bait and switch’. Ours said 20k and we were offered 15. The NPC definitely a factor to decide whether to apply there or not - paying the fee, getting reference letters, etc.
