I just moved some classes around for next year and I am just trying to make sure i didnt overload my schedule. So far i have

Physics 240 (i am coming in with most likely 5s on the Physics C exam so i have seen a lot of this material before)
Honors Math 295 (only have Calc AB credit)
Great Books
Some language...either italion 101 or latin 3rd or 4th semester depending on placement exams.

I also plan on continueing with trumpet lessons and will audition for some ensambles.

I mean i am not paying 40k OOS to came to UM and party all the time, but does this schedule seems reasonable?

i don't think that's an overload at all. and ensembles genereally meet like one night a week anyway.

Im just curious, do we HAVE to take one fo the placement exams that are listed within the orientation booklet? I mean, I took French in school, but I have absolutely no interest in the language for some reason. Instead, could I just take a placement exam for Chinese and Japanese, as I am very interested in studying those two languages in college?

if you want to start with a new language that you've never taken before, you don't need to take a placement exam. if you want to continue a language that you have prior experience in, you take the placement exam.

I think you should be fine JazzMan. Nice choice of classes by the way ;)
I'm a trumpet player too but I didn't play last year. I'm hoping I can get into it again this year if I have time. Are you looking at jazz or legit?

Hey Jazzman, u are not alone.

I am taking Honors Physics I (Physics 240), Honors Mathematics I (Math 295), Great Books (Honors Literature), and Honors Logic (Honors Philosophy).

Rock on....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, post it under courses on facebook, it helps me memorize your names and lives before I meet you.
