I’m gonna be a freshman so I don’t really know much about how to pack for college.
I have a suitcase and a duffle bag full of my clothes, 5 boxes (1 for toiletries, 1 for shoes, 1 full of food, 1 for kitchen stuff cuz there’s a kitchen, and 1 full of random stuff for my room/school supplies) and then I also have a laundry basket with my bedding in it, a long mirror for my room, and a fan
I feel like I’m bringing a lot but it’s all stuff that I know I’ll need for sure and I’m living in an apartment style dorm where every person gets their own room
It sounds fine. My son moved in two weeks ago. I measured his closet and he has 24" of hanging space. Make sure you don’t take too many clothes. A weeks worth of underwear and socks should be enough. It’ll force you to do laundry. It sounds like you have a lot more space though!
Agreed with the above mostly - considering you have a kitchen, it sounds like you brought a very fitting amount of stuff.
Personally, I have 2+ weeks of those and my clothes are similar. I’m a guy though, which makes it easier because 2 weeks of clothes for me is 14 t-shirts and a few pairs of jeans. Still, I’m always an advocate for more socks and underwear than clothes in general.
A good way to avoid packing it and trying out a week is to just order more socks/underwear off amazon.
That’s a similar amount of stuff that my daughter has. Last year she had no kitchen or kitchen stuff and much less space than she does this year and she managed. She does have to have cold and warm weather clothes with her because we live overseas and she can’t switch out clothes with the seasons. Too costly to ship back and forth.
if you are asking this question you probably are taking too mcuh
