Hey guys. I am wondering if the Cornell admission officers will review my application because I did not take the SAT II. However, I took ACT with writing, which there is a science part in it. Does it take over the SAT II??? Please give me some hope. I am so nervous now.

I think it does .

Depends on the specific college within Cornell you are applying to:

SAT Subject Test Requirements by College
Agriculture and Life Sciences: SAT Subject Tests are not required
Architecture, Art, and Planning: mathematics (any level), architecture only
Arts and Sciences: two subjects of your choice
Engineering: mathematics (any level) and a science
Hotel Administration: mathematics (any level)
Human Ecology: mathematics (any level) and one subject of your choice
Industrial and Labor Relations: mathematics (any level); ACT test takers exempt from Subject Test requirement

I received an email from Cornell Engineering today basically talking about sending in any missing materials you might have and about mid year reports.

In that email was this: “Please note if you are only missing SAT 2 subject tests, and you have never taken them, we will ultimately read your file without them, since it is now too late to take the SAT for this application cycle.”

…I would think that reading your file without them means that you’ve hurt your chances by not following through on the application requirements.

Thanks Patrickm, you give me some hope!!!
I am applying to Arts and Sciences
