I did not take theSAT, do i still have a chance?

I have a unweighted gpa of 3.96. An ACT score of 32 and class rank of 2/151.

I did not take the SAT will they sitll consider me? Im really involved in my school, but my school doesent have a great ciriculum so I was only able to take 2 AP classes and a few Honors ones.

Cornell requires scores from the SAT OR the ACT

Does the College that you are applying to within Cornell require SAT Subject tests?

Cornell does have a website:

[Admission Requirements | Admissions](College and School Admissions Requirements | Undergraduate Admissions)

Yeah I didn’t take subject tests… Is that ok? Are they going to ignore my application because I didn’t take Subject Tests?

Nice ACT. Cornell requires the SAT OR ACT with writing (must be with writing), and neither is favored. Depending on the college you are applying to, you may need to take SAT subject tests. Each college has a different requirement. For example, if you apply to CALS, all you will need is your ACT. Engineering requires two SAT2s (Math & science), CAS requires 2 of any subject, etc, ect, etc. Here is a requirement chart that shows the requirements of each college. Good Luck!

…if you did not fulfill the requirements your application will not be considered. Cornell rejects approx. 1,000 applicants a year who don’t follow the first basic instruction in applying…you have to apply specifically to one of the 7 colleges. No telling how many other applicants are rejected because they fail to get in all of the required materials.

Can’t help but think that when other Cornell applicants read stuff like this, they fist pump and say “YES! Less competition”

LOL

** ^^^^^^^^^^**

lol

@ T26E4

In one perspective, I can laugh with you at that, seeing as if they really wanted to apply to Cornell, they would have actually researched this all before they applied.

On the other hand, you’re cruel.

I felt the liberty to poke at smillerpc b/c his/her ACT is sufficient. I do feel bad for those who don’t read thoroughly the directions. But then again, it’s a serious venture and peoples’ maturity (or lack thereof) comes out.

How serious could an applicant be if he/she couldn’t even bother to read the requirements.

Well… the applicant also didn’t mention what college he is applying to (Cornell College doesn’t count) so it makes me doubt the legitimacy of the question.

You clearly don’t have your act together and lack the basic skills of understanding the bare requirements of applying to college. This website isn’t made for other people to google stuff for you.
