Did you get a call from UCLA???

^i thought my essays were pretty good. i gave it to one of my dad's friends who was a principal and he said it was one of the best he has ever read, but my gpa was 3.5.

it's finally 4/15 ppl! exactly mid april!

Im not expecting decisions today

No I had weird typos in mine. But they were otherwise good.

Can anybody see their financial aid award yet? I think there was already one person but anybody new see it?

I'm calling after I get back from school, my FAFSA doesn't appear there and I'm hoping they'll give me a clue as to when we should hear about admissions other than the hopelessly vague "late April". :)

Good luck WOT- I did that yesterday. They sent me on a wild goose chase, saying that I never turned it in. I called fafsa they said i did since 1/22 and i called UCLA and they denied it. They said they didnt have my social. I had to fax, then the guy said oh wait they did. I told him to call me back when he finds out the problem, and he never did.

Typical of a the UC system. You are just a number and paperwork.

exactly 1week left... 7days..

DJS3CA,

Don't worry. You'll just be a number and paperwork in the private sector, too. ;)

nothing change on my URSA

I think all this counting down is stagnating the flow of time.

"Don't worry. You'll just be a number and paperwork in the private sector, too."

Ain't that the truth. :)

As long as I'm an actual admitted number & not a rejected dork. jk. :P I'm getting tense. lol.

Should I call UCLA financial aid office at 9:00am? I just want to check whether they received my FAFSA.

Not to snub publics... but USC is considerably more personable (from my experience)

DJS3CA,

Doesn't surprise me in the least.

"Not to snub publics... but USC is considerably more personable (from my experience)"

On that note...My bf recruits MBA's out of USC and UCLA and he said USC was much easier to work with. He said the people working in the office were much more professional and goal driven. I love UCLA so I was bummed to hear this. Although if I get into UCLA undergrad I will probably go elsewhere for grad school anyway.

I prefer USC, but I can't afford it....

USC meets 100% of demonstrated financial need - some through loans though. It's pretty affordable unless you are stuck with middle/upper-class parents who refuse help you out. My efc was 4k, so I'm expecting alot of financial aid - if I get accepted.

dekscholar, how do you know your efc?
