I applied for a CS major as an incoming freshman and they didn’t give it to me. I have good stats, 31 ACT, 3.9 unweighted GPA, and have gotten into CS at Uof AZ. Can someone tell me why? btw they gave me a Deans scholarship so I imagine they liked my app.

That's odd, the only thing I can suggest is calling them, as I've never heard of the CS major being overly competitive. It's possible that they accidentally put you into the wrong major, and if so, you just need to call and switch your declared major.

Yeah, I don't know anybody who didn't get into their first choice at ASU. I would definitely call and check up on that.

I called em and had to make an appointment to talk to someone tuesday. She's like "when do you want to come in?" I said,"umm, i live in minnesota."

Good luck on straightening this out. You should be able to get your major.

thanks, i hope so to. dont want to waste my scholarship
