Difference Between LSA and CoE

I can see numerous threads about whether the student should apply to LSA or CoE.
However, none of them clearly mentions the difference between the two.

I could get some hints like LSA is easier to get in and that LSA is more with Computer Science in general while CoE is much narrower in scope.

If a college is easy to get in and is more broad based, won't the majority choose it?

Could someone please elaborate on the difference between the two colleges?

I would appreciate it if you could list out the pros and cons of both colleges (like ease of admission, career prospects, fee structure etc) along with the basic difference.

Except for Computer Science that is available at both LSA and CoE, one should consider his/her intended major and apply to the corresponding school. If you have no idea in the difference between LSA and CoE, you don’t have much interest at UMich.

Please don’t be judgemental here.
There are many threads on CC that students have posted regarding their confusion.
Indeed, I have come across threads with people unsure whether to change their program one month before flying to Michigan.
I do not want to be in that position and thus clearing out the differences here.
And the fact that I am asking for help shows that I’m interested rather than uninterested.

My intended major is Computer Science. I am unsure whether I want to couple it up with Engineering or Maths. But most probably it’ll be engineering or something else computer related.

Does that mean I should choose CoE?

It is indeed a valid question if your intended major is computer science. Nevertheless, this question specifically about CS in LSA vs CoE has been asked many times that you can find the answer from previous thread. Other than that, there are differences between CoE and LSA in many aspects such as language requirement, AP credits, scholarships, admission rate and stat, tuition rate, etc. If you are interested in CS, getting admitted at LSA is slightly easier than at CoE.
