Difficulties of transferring for 11th Grade?

My daughter is in 9th grade at a very small boarding school in Massachusetts. She is a bit disappointed about the level of academic challenge she has encountered thus far. She wants to give it another year, and then transfer if she continues to be dissatisfied. My concern is that 11th grade might be a difficult year to transfer, both for the new student's adaptation as well as for chances of being accepted by a school. I would greatly appreciate any feedback.
Also, my daughter attended a Waldorf school, Pre-K through 8th. She wanted a more rigorous academic atmosphere, and this is why she chose to leave that school. At the same time, she was sure that she did not want to attend a school where college stats become more important than learning for its own sake. She has always been a very able and self-motivated student, but is not necessarily interested in being on an Ivy track. Any suggestions regarding schools would be appreciated.

It is a very small boarding school world especially amongst the schools themselves. Many of the schools hold annual joint conferences during the Summer months. St. George’s has been holding such conferences for the past few Summers. What I’m trying to get at is that it is doable but more so with those schools where there’s already a good relationship with your daughter’s school. You’d be surprised at how many “relations” are in the boarding teaching world. I also know that SG has taken exceptional students from other boarding schools and vice versa. It’s going to be letting the current school know of your daughter’s sentiments which can be somewhat challenging at first. But, if they’re good people, they should be welling to work with you and your daughter. Yes, an 11th grade transfer can be tough.
